I love how this turned out! And I love how the stripey sequin looks with plaid. This skirt is ridiculously itchy, being wool, so tucking in is a MUST (and more underlayers = better). People often ask me why I don’t wear pants/jeans and I just don’t find them comfortable. I change sizes often (often!) and skirts are more forgiving. I have everything from 8 – 18 in my wardrobe and a skirt will just get shorter and high waisted or hip-slung, whereas I probably couldn’t cram my thigh into the waist of a size 8 pant. It could be totally normal and straightlaced, but there’s a big ol’ bow and an asymmetrical brim and it’s just delightful. A wee bit large for my noggin, but looks super cute, so I am pleased.
