Spade.

My nephew turned four over the weekend. He celebrated with a turkey din, and I popped round afterward to shower him with gifts. Giant hulk hands, and the like. He’s very into super-heroes. He was pretty pleased with it all, you can tell. While I was out shopping for his pressie, I stumbled upon fabulous Kate Spade tights ($10 at winners). These, but in fuschia/purpley. I left them behind, since I’m jobless and shouldn’t buy Kate Spade tights, but my fabulous lad snuck them into his cart, and made excuses to nip off and buy them for me. He’s wonderful. … Continue reading Spade.

Hat.

Did you know I love hats? I do. I have a small (large) collection. I seldom wear them, because who wears hats nowadays? Well, I’m going to start. I love hats. Tank, H&M Dress, Urban Outfitters Jeans, Reitmans Shoes, Spring Necklace, Trove Hat, Poppycock! Vintage (Oh, god, to get the link I had to go to the shop and there are SO MANY HATS I WANT) This is what I wore out for DUMPLINGS and walking about. We hit the Old Port for a while, and it was quite nice. The weather was absolutely perfect. I find, too, often when … Continue reading Hat.

So, I’ve learned that to keep sane I must leave the house at least once a day. It will be my goal to do that. It is also my goal to wake up before 10, but that’s not going so well. Dress, hand-me-down from sister Sweater, hand-me-down from Lauren Socks, F21 Shoes, Fred Perry I really like this outfit! It’s fun and cute and comfortable, and sensible to wear about the house all day, as it’s jersey and such. There are new (since July) neighbours who’ve boarded off their section of the back gallery. They’ve a tiny dog, so I … Continue reading

Jump!(suit)

I’m not coughing as much as I was previously! Hurray! To celebrate, I left the house. Jumpsuit, F21 Tights, hue Shoes, Spring Earrings, Mina-made, wedding Cardi, Joe Fresh I must’ve lost weight in my holiday from working, because this jumpsuit has not fit in months. Months! I’m not complaining. I went out with Mr Aaron and we talked nerd-things. It was really nice to leave the house, I tell you what. In other nerd-news, I was looking at my site statistics this evening, and it looks like the good people of Germany (119) and Brazil (55) like me! Guten Tag, … Continue reading Jump!(suit)

My name is Sabrina, and I might be a makeup hoarder, PT2: Lipsticks and NailPolish

Here’s where we see just how deep my problem goes: Lipsticks. I love them. I love shimmer, I love matte, I love cremes. I like how they feel going on, I like how they gradually fade over the course of the day (or hour, in some cases!). Lipsticks are my weakness. If I count correctly, there are forty-six lipsticks pictured. After this, I remembered another half-dozen or so in various purses, so let’s say I have about fifty shades. Bright pinks are my favourite. They pack a colour punch, but seem less intimidating than a rich red. Though I do … Continue reading My name is Sabrina, and I might be a makeup hoarder, PT2: Lipsticks and NailPolish

Final Vet Visit (?)

I got to leave the house again! We took Vex to the vet to have her stitches removed. She’s doing okay. She still has a cone (giant cone), and still goes for the tail, but less frequently, and she comes out and spends time with us instead of hiding all the time. Julie’s apparently got plans to build them a giant cat tree. Hopefully she will enjoy it, and it will amuse her enough that the lure of delicious tail is lessened. The Lady Cone: So, we went off to the vet. I had the day to myself, as usual, … Continue reading Final Vet Visit (?)

Glymm, September 2012

I love the white bag with this month’s Glymm! Contents: Evolvh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner LaFresh Waterproof Makeup Remover Bentaberry Super Moisturizing Face Cream for Girls Villainess Dulce En Fuego Whipped Body Crème Last month’s cream from Bentaberry was really nice, but stung a bit. I’m hoping this one is slightly milder but even if it isn’t, it feels great on the skin. The size of the Villainess sample is really nice, and I loved the LaFresh nail polish removers, so the makeup removers are exciting! I’m pleased with this month’s bag. Leaving the House!

I had errands! On Tuesday, I went out to meet Mary Jane about a hat. It is lovely. While out, I had lunch with Lauren, in the Eaton Centre food court. Still being sick, we opted for big asian soups. I got a korean kalbi tang, and Lauren a new noodle spot, Nudo, where they make the noodles fresh. Both were pretty fantastic. I wore fall clothes: Boots, Naturalizer Jeans, Reitmans Sweater, F21 Necklace, Ardene Earrings, Mina-made (wedding) and.. cape It’s cold enough for full-on outerwear. It’s fall. Time for scarves and capes and boots and layers. I’m a little … Continue reading Leaving the House!

How am I adjusting to life as a housewife?

Leggings as pants, that’s how. Leggings, American Apparel Tee, Old Navy Aaron’s Dirty Old Reebok sweater, Aaron’s Remember when I used to get dressed every day? This week I will make a plan to like, leave the house and stuff. Last week I was sick, sick, sick! I’ve not forgotten about showing you the rest of my medicine cabinet, but today I’m sorting socks. Oh yeah, sorting socks. Continue reading How am I adjusting to life as a housewife?

My name is Sabrina, and I am a makeup hoarder, or something. (Pt 1)

As part of my “Be Productive While Not Working” thing, I am cleaning out the medicine cabinet. For the first time, I laid everything out and I realized: I have a problem. There is so much stuff it doesn’t fit on my kitchen table. There are things I can’t imagine finishing. There are more things than I could reasonably shake a stick at. This is how it was ‘before’. I have quite a few palettes: all three Shady Lady, the ELF 100-colour palette, the Sephora shopper, Naked, and Smoked. Then there’s the individual shadows: My favourites are the 24-hour colour … Continue reading My name is Sabrina, and I am a makeup hoarder, or something. (Pt 1)
